We found the voice-overs to be a tad cheesy and over-the-top, and the soundtracks to be quite dull. It certainly contains some horror elements which serve as the core of this series, but somehow this installment does not possess the charm that some of its predecessors had. Anyway, Grim Facade: Monster in Disguise is undeniably solid when it comes to the gameplay. The adventure is neither too easy nor too confusing, the hidden object scenes are well-built and fun and the puzzles are the highlights.

Moreover, many of them are challenging without being unnecessarily time-consuming. As for the bonus chapter, it provides an enjoyable extra hour. Subscribe to our weekly mailing list so you don't miss out on the hottest games! We have added you to our list.

What a wonderfull game, lovely graphics and great music, have played it now for more than 3 hour and I'm only halfway through, have to work tomorrow so I have to go to bed but I'm looking forward to come back to it tomorrow Didn't have any problem with the game it ran smooth, Thank You ERS for another top of the class game.

I'll give it Harlequen. I loved this game! I love it when you have to uncover something in the HOG scenes to find something else. Graphics and colors were great! The game seemed to go on and on. I kind of lost track of what the objective was but I really didn't care. Some of the puzzles were tough though. I had to skip them. I hardly used the walk through which is a first for me!

I guess I'm getting better at these games. I'm going to look for more games from ERS. I also played Queen of Spades in the past and loved that one too. I don't listen to the music in any of the games so I can't comment on it. It took me a couple of days to finish it. It was very addictive. SoManyCrimes Minnow Posts. It does look very nice, I'll admit, with very high production values all round, but all this praise for the story has baffled me.

What story?? There's backstory , certainly, and plenty of atmosphere and window dressing, but there's no actual plot developments, and even the backstory is woefully low on specifics. You're chasing someone, you continue to chase them, you catch them. What a surprise! You never find out why the antagonists are doing what they're doing, what the link with the seven deadly sins is, or really who any of the victims are, beyond a single infodump in the library at the beginning.

And then they disappear! That's not how to draw me into a plot. And neither is unlocking doors, however complicated the door. Unearthing things from the past has its place, of course, but if everything important happens before the game actually starts then what's left for the player to do? Surely a bit of proper character development and a few actual story events beyond "you managed to find your way to the next area" isn't too much to ask?

Nice game, lovely artwork, music a bit anooying at times but that's what the volume is for! I got to 25 hints which shows how few your really need, but it became a bit of a challenge for me to see how many I could get! You also have to collect gold ducats to buy stuff in the shop which you need throughout the game which was a nice idea. I found the puzzles very easy, but there were plenty of them.

All in all, not quite as challenging as I like, but an enjoyable game none the less. Shastanna Lobster 97 Posts. Well, I had a wonderful time playing this game! A nice, enjoyable romp.

Great Game by technocratee on Jul 11, 12 AM. Loved this game, will check for more in the series. Love this new idea buying objects with 'money' you have to find. Love picking up free Hints, I wish all games had this. Or have to work for a Hint instead of waiting for one. Small minus the hint only says: Nothing to do here.
