Chapter 5: old Chapter 6. The major change is the discussion of new media and foreign policy, such as the Internet, blogs, etc. Chapter 6: old Chapter 7. Material has been updated including a lengthened discussion of civil liberties given the NSA eavesdropping controversy and Guantanamo Bay and also material on Iraq the the war powers question.
Chapter 7: old Chapter 8. Headings and material have been shifted to improve the flow of the chapter and equal attention is now given to presidential personality and presidential management style in order to please both students and instructors. Added to this chapter is a brief discussion on the concept of a War Czar for Iraq.
Chapter 8: old Chapter 9. Material has been rearranged, and a section on outsourcing foreign policy has been added. Chapter old Chapter The format of the summary section has been changed to highlight different themes developed within.
Key terms have been bolded and graphs and tables have been added. References have been added, and a public opinion pll on how others view the U.
